Vilas del Turbon. El Agua de Aragón. Aragon. Spain.

En el centro del Pirineo aragonés en el macizo del Turbón, a 2.492 metros de altitud, nace el agua Vilas del Turbón. En concreto del manantial Virgen de la Peña, a 1.976 metros, emerge un agua de gran pureza (7.2 ph.) a una temperatura constante de 9 grados centígrados y con una densidad a 15 grados de 1.0002.

Todas estas características la acreditan como agua de gran calidad. Ya antes de la década de los 30, su fama había traspasado las fronteras pirenaicas. Al manantial acudían desde lejos enfermos del riñón e hígado que afrontaban el camino, durante más de cuatro horas a pie o en caballerías para someterse al tratamiento de aguas.

En 1988 se instala una moderna planta embotelladora con una capacidad de producción de 150.000 botellas diarias, incorporando las últimas tecnologías al proceso de envasado tanto en el control de calidad como en el sistema de filtrado. En su elaboración se utiliza un sistema de calefacción por uso de cáscaras de almendra, ya que se ha abandonado el uso del gasoil.

Este agua, clasificada como mineral natural y declarada minero-medicinal, se presenta en botellas de vidrio retornable, con capacidad de un litro, medio litro y cuarto de litro, tipo torpedo.
